Ridge Academy Mission Statement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
PA Teacher Certification Preferred
Demonstrate a mature relationship with Jesus Christ
Experience working with children
Passion for Christian education and the ability to inspire students
Excellent knowledge of child development and educational practices
Creative teaching abilities
Ability to foster and facilitate intellectual, social, and spiritual development of children

High School Diploma
Experience working with children
Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

Report to Principal/Administration
Create meaningful lesson plans from a Christian Worldview
Exhibit a genuine nurturing and caring attitude towards all students
Utilize curriculum mapping to ensure completion of the required curriculum
Plan meaningful and educational classwork
Regularly communicate with parents
Enforce rules following school policy

Implements the lessons set by the lead teacher
Preserves the continuity of the classroom by following the routines, procedures, and classroom management system established by the lead teacher.
Defers to the knowledge and experience of the teacher’s aide when seeking to understand the children and their needs.
Communicates with students in a patient, encouraging manner.
