School at Home – SERVE HIM
The entrepreneurial design of Ridge Academy challenges established norms by creating a learning environment where academic and life skills are fostered through community-based learning experiences. The prime example of Ridge Academy’s commitment to service is built into the weekly schedule through Serve Him Days on Fridays which are designed to be a practical way to live out the message of Matthew 22:37-40: Love God, Love People.
At Ridge Academy, we believe that each student, as a unique individual, shares the light of God’s love in a way no one else can. Serve Him Days are also an opportunity for families to work together to share the love and kindness of God by serving in their community.
In addition to an act of service on Fridays, students will be expected to complete schoolwork at home in preparation for return to campus on Monday.
Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang the Law and the Prophets.”
